Mike Lightbourn's Bahama Advice Column
No-one knows the Islands of the Bahamas better than Mike Lightbourn.
Mike, president of Coldwell Banker Lightbourn Realty, has been a real estate broker since 1966.
Born in the Bahamas, Mikeís a graduate of Dover College in Kent, England, and has a BSc degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia and a BA from the University of Oregon with a major in insurance and real estate.
A private pilot, he spends many hours criss-crossing the islands on real estate business. Also a former Member of Parliament, heís served in numerous capacities on the Bahamas Real Estate Association.
Heís an International Real Estate Institute certified senior certified valuer and a Bahamas Government approved assessor.
In addition to listing and selling Bahamas real estate, Mikeís prepared appraisals for various foreign government agencies, including the United States government, the U.S. Department of Justice and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence.
