Get ready for the most wonderful time of the year!

December's rolled in with beautiful sunny days, punctuated by the occasional cool front, and lots of fun events.

This is a great time to call the Bahamas home.

The holiday celebrations are already underway with the 4th edition of the Star Sailors League Finals being battled out off the eastern end of Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.

Residents lucky enough to own a seaside or elevated home on the eastern end of the island will have an amazing view of crisp white sails against blue as 16 Olympic medallists vie for the top spot.

If your Nassau home doesn't take in this view, there are lots of spectators' bleachers at Montagu Beach.

The event ends with a fun festival at the Montagu Beach Park when the international sailors test their skills against our own local sailing talent – the sleek Star fleet against our beautiful native sloops.
