An estimated $27 million is to be spent on dredging the cruise ship terminal in Nassau, Bahamas, according to Minister of the Environment Earl Deveaux. The nine month project is expected to start in January, 2009, and will allow for larger cruise ships to visit the Bahamas later in that year.
The Nassau terminal will act as a doorway to the Bahamas with ferry service available to Eleuthera, Harbour Island, Exuma and Andros.
