The proposed Ritz-Carlton development on Rose Island near Nassau may not be dead after all.
The developers behind the $1 billion project are talking to banks in Canada and the Bahamas to try and secure the financing they lost as a result of the collapse of Lehman Brothers.
According to spokesman Russell Miller, the Miami-based Gencom Group, the developer, remains optimistic.
