Shirley Carroll

Sales Associate
Nassau Office

Shirley Carroll was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. She graduated from Government High School in 1967.
After working in a Nassau dental office for almost 40 years, she decided it was time for a change of job and scenery. She was attracted to Abaco, not only because her roots are there, but her son and his family had made their home there ten years earlier.
The experience of renting and then selling their home sparked an interest in the real estate business. So after successfully completing the Bahamas Real Estate Association course in August, 2008, Shirley and her husband, Peter, moved to Abaco.
They have made their home in Treasure Cay, Abaco, and together wish to promote this “piece of heaven” as a vacation and permanent home location.
Treasure Cay beach is rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Shirley and Peter enjoy walking it with their two Shih Tzus – Kahlua and Lukie.
“The beach is number one,” Shirley says.
The couple also has two cats – Indiana Jones and Skinny Minnie.
Shirley not only enjoys the lifestyle of Abaco, but she loves cooking with the fresh produce and seafood. Her other hobbies include gardening and reading.
”What I like best about Abaco is the relaxed island atmosphere and being close to my family, especially my grand-daughter Taryn,” Shirley explains.
Peter spent 30 years in the electronics service field for 30 years and was happy to make the change. He is now involved in property management. His hobbies are genealogy, early Bahamian history and antique bottle collecting.
So Shirley, with a property manager husband, has an edge over others in the Abaco real estate industry.
