Magic in Nassau Harbour

Mark 6pm December 12 down in your calendar.
That's when the 2015 Festival of Lights Christmas boat parade kicks off at Arawak Cay.
It's one of the most magical times of the season with the Christmas fleet gliding past Paradise island homes and downtown restaurants and pubs like beautiful phantoms.
Some have Junkanoo dancers. Others let fireworks off the stern. The boat owners become more creative with each passing year.
Parade patron Sir Durward Knowles, 94, the first Bahamian gold Olympic medallist (sailing), will be on hand.
If you're not lucky enough to own a Nassau home on the water, no problem.
Great vantage points can be found at the Western esplanade, Woodes Rogers Wharf, the Paradise island bridges, Potters Cay and the Montagu Foreshore.
Several excursion boats will provide platforms for spectators in the harbour.
After the parade, get a close up view of the boats as they tie-up for a party at the Green Parrot grill.
See you on the water!
