Bahamas Real Estate Falls Into High Gear

Jack We said goodbye to summer yesterday and opened a chapter on a new season. But even as Fall ushered in scattered thunder showers across the islands, the day time temps remained in the 90s with tonight's low set for 79F. Although subtle, our seasons bring notable changes. We're basking in deliciously warm temps, but without the high humidity of summer. The crystal clear sea is brilliant – no longer a hot bathtub, but still warm and so refreshing. Autumn kicks off a new season of Bahamas real estate activity. This is a great time to look at beach homes, like this lovely cottage on a sugar-spun stretch of white sand in Abaco.
On a visit in the 1760s, George Washington referred to the Bahamas as the 'Isles of Perpetual June.' He was right.
Most of our islands are kissed by the Bahamas' golden sunshine 310 days a year.
Sure we get cold snaps. And we love them because we get to pull out sweaters and feast on piping hot conch chowder, a Bahamian specialty laced with sherry and hot red pepper.
But we know these cold spells will only last a couple of days before summer once again sweeps over the islands in the dead of winter and we'll be back on the beach once more.
