How many ways can you cook lobster?
Plenty! Especially if you live in the Bahamas and your backyard's the sea.
The lobster season opened August 1. That's when the commercial spear fishermen head off to sea and the local recreational ones dust off their spears and slings to peg a few tails.
The past few days were no exception and we've been feasting on the bounty of the sea for days.
Over the weekend, we enjoyed grilled lobster tails dripping with lemon, drawn butter and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, grilled tails with Hollandaise sauce and lobster salad with fresh pineapple. A jug of margaritas helped wash everything down.
This is the lifestyle that draws so many of our friends from the North.
Whether you want to relax undisturbed or throw something on the grill with friends, the islands of the Bahamas are the perfect place to set up a second home.
