The Rain Exploded With a Mighty Crash

Nassau recorded what may well be a record rainfall for April – a whopping 12.84 inches! That's compared to the monthly average of just 3.87 inches. From Friday to 8am this morning, 7.59 inches fell in Nassau, the Meteorology Department told us. It's what we call “soaking rain” and it sure was welcome, even if the beach was a wash-out! Many of us sat on our porches instead, gorged on conch fritters and sampled frozen concoctions from the blender. Our lawns turned green before our eyes. The sky's lightening today as the low pressure system that sneaked up from Cuba drifts towards the Gulf. This is a great time to look at real estate to see how homes weathered the storm. Look for homes with covered porches.
