The beautiful Bahamas is playing back drop to the most gorgeous women in the world.
Millions of TV viewers have been captivated by the splendor of our dazzling seas and spectacular beaches as the Miss Universe contestants strut their stuff throughout the islands of the Bahamas.
The beauties have spent the last few days riding horses on the famous Pink Sands Beach of Harbour Island, Eleuthera, touring the charming historic village of Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, and frolicking by the sea at the Compass Point boutique resort in Nassau.
Besides the scenery, the TV cameras have also swept over prime pieces of Bahamas real estate and showstopper second homes. The charming cottages of the settlers to Harbour Island and Abaco of yesteryear have flashed across the world.
The girls are enjoying the warmth and hospitality of the people of the Bahamas. They've got down to the beat of goatskin drums with our famous Junkanoo festival dancers, tasted fish cakes topped with mango salsa, avocado and mango salad and grilled mahi mahi.
From Albania to Zambia, the girls showed off our creativity and culture during the Bahamian fashion show, modeling exquisite costumes fashioned from our own Bahama Hand Prints and Androsia fabrics.
The 58th annual pageant airs live on NBC from the world famous Atlantis resort on Paradise Island Bahamas. August 23.
Paradise Island is home to Ocean Club Estates, where the rich and famous have substantial second homes and real estate is at a premium.
"The people of the Bahamas are very proud and excited at the opportunity to host some of the most beautiful people in the universe in some of the most beautiful islands in the universe," says Minister of Tourism Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace.
