THE BAHAMAS is cashing in on an influx of Canadian visitors and investors following an intense public relations blitz by the Ministry of Tourism.
Over the last few years, we've noticed an increase in the number of Canadians investing in Bahamas real estate.
And now Stewart MacPhee, president and CEO of Punch Canada, a public relations and marketing agency, has told The Nassau Guardian that Bahamas travel is growing dramatically in Canada. It's projected that up to 5,000 more Canadians may visit the Bahamas this year.
Forecasts from Statistics Canada and the Canadian Tourism Institute suggest that a total of 120,000 Canadians may visit the Bahamas this year.
In recent years, there's also been an increase in Canadians investing in Bahamas real estate and condo/single family home developments. The activity isn't just confined to Nassau, there also have been Abaco real estate developments.
The Bahamas welcomes these Canadian snowbirds who are drawn to our shores by the warmth, beauty and relaxed lifestyle of the Islands of the Bahamas.
